Celtic Bank is Named Utah's Top Dollar Volume SBA Lender

Salt Lake City, UT (May 20, 2015) —Celtic Bank has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the SBA Utah District Office as the Top Dollar Volume Lender in Utah for FYE 2014.  Celtic Bank was presented with the award during the Utah Small Business Awards luncheon hosted by the SBA Utah District Office on May 5, 2015.  Celtic Bank is currently the sixth largest SBA lender in the nation for FY 2015.

WILL FLOYD AND JOSEPH AMATO JOIN CELTIC BANK SBA LENDING TEAM

Salt Lake City, UT (March 11, 2015) — Celtic Bank is pleased to announce that Will Floyd and Joseph Amato have been hired as Vice Presidents of Business Development in the bank’s SBA and Commercial Lending Department.  Floyd will be based in San Diego, California.  Amato will be based in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Floyd is a 12-year veteran in the finance and banking industry and will team with Liz Schaper, Senior Vice President of SBA Lending, to enhance the customer experience and deliver even faster turnaround times.  “Celtic’s ability to take sometimes complicated SBA loans and take a more common sense approach was very appealing to me,” said Floyd.  “I look forward to many years of successful SBA lending at Celtic Bank.”

Amato joins Celtic Bank with over 14 years of commercial lending experience working with small business and middle market clients.  Amato’s background includes developing, underwriting and packaging commercial financing opportunities using government-guaranteed funding programs.  “Celtic Bank will allow me to capitalize on my extensive business development and commercial lending experience on a nationwide platform,” said Amato.  “I have joined a group of lending professionals that are sincerely focused on providing financing opportunities for small business.”

Panama City Beach, FL (March 2, 2015) — Celtic Bank is pleased to announce that the SBA Georgia District Office named Celtic Bank as the 2nd largest SBA 7(a) lender based on the number of loans closed.  During the first quarter of FY2015,which runs October 1, 2014 through January 31, 2015, Celtic Bank closed 36 SBA 7(a) loans in Georgia.

Salt Lake City, UT (March 10, 2015) — Celtic Bank is pleased to announce that the SBA Dallas/Fort Worth District Office released their February 2015 Lender’s Report showing Celtic Bank is up 196.53% in dollar volume after the first 5 months of FY 2015 compared to FYE  2014.  Celtic Bank originated $7,960,300 in SBA loans during the first five months of FY 2015 (October 1, 2014 through February 28, 2015) compared to $2,684,500 in SBA loans originated during FYE 2014.

Celtic Bank Announces $6.9MM PACE Bond Funding with Los Angeles County

Salt Lake City, UT (July 7, 2014) — Celtic Bank is pleased to announce that it recently funded a PACE bond with Los Angeles County in the amount of $6,860,000 for the New Constance Hotel located in Pasadena, California. Funds for the New Constance Hotel will be used to install energy efficient improvements including new HVAC and controllers, LED lighting, elevator motors and controls, window treatments, water systems, and insulation. These improvements are estimated to save 207,488 kWh per year in electricity usage and reduce water consumption by 3,200,000 gallons. The closing of the New Constance Hotel PACE bond brings the total amount of PACE fundings by Celtic Bank to $14,065,000.

"Most clean energy programs require taxpayer and government subsidies to make them economically viable. We are excited to participate in a program like PACE that utilizes private capital to fund clean energy improvements that actually increase the operating cash flow of the entity," said Jake Barney, Chief Financial Officer of Celtic Bank.
